Bonnie Hartenstein, (MA, MFA) is a certified Jin Shin Jyutsu practitioner and self-help instructor. She has been seeing private clients and giving classes for 20 years. Her heightened sensitivity, perception, and intuition help in developing a significant supportive rapport with each of her clients. Bonnie’s focus on the importance of personal growth and self-awareness through knowledge gleaned through the body has been a guiding principle in her life. She shares the gift of how we can open and integrate our energies so we may lead balanced lives in harmony with the universal rhythm of life. Bonnie is a member of the Association of Massage and Bodywork Practitioners (AMBP).

Jin Shin Jyutsu is based on the idea that our bodies contain energy pathways, similar to acupuncture meridians. When pathways become blocked, physical, mental and emotional health challenges occur. By gently placing your fingertips on specific sites, you can use your hands as “jumper cables” to unblock the flow of energy and renew your spirit.

Jin Shin Jyutsu is a physio-philosophy. It is an ancient art of harmonizing the life energy in the body, inducing relaxation and reducing the effects of stress. It is a valuable complement to conventional healing methods.

Jin Shin Jyutsu facilitates our own profound healing capacity. When the energy pathways that feed life into our bodies become blocked, energy stagnates, backs up and results in accumulated pain and acute or chronic conditions that we associate with injury, illness, over-exertion, or aging.

Jin Shin Jyutsu employs “26 Safety Energy Locks” that feed life into our bodies for complete regeneration. They are located along the energy pathways (meridians, nadis) in the body. Gently holding these energy locks helps unblock congestion and restores balance too our Main Central Core (the spine and Central Nervous System). It facilitates the work of our Supervisors (the structural Guardians of our Main Central Core) and our Mediator (the energy that brings the Breath fully into the body).

Jin Shin Jyutsu sessions applied by a trained practitioner last about an hour. It does not involve massage or manipulation. It is practiced by placing the fingertips (over clothing) on designated safety energy locks.

Jin Shin Jyutsu engages one in self-study, self-help. Through the process of “Now Know Myself”, we learn what the body is telling us! We recognize the wisdom of the body. We learn to interpret the messages provided and how to utilize the art of Jin Shin Jyutsu to restore balance.
